Stephan Weil on the challenges for the automotive location Lower Saxony

At our expert seminar on the car turnaround on February 24, Lower Saxony’s Minister President Stephan Weil spoke about what the transformation of the automotive industry could mean for the Volkswagen region and the state government.

In his keynote, Weil emphasised the central role of the automotive industry for Germany as an industrial nation, while underlining it is all the more important to successfully manage this transformation process. In order to replace the value creation lost through the transformation to electro-mobility, he believes that it should be an industrial policy task of the first order to ensure that Germany is actually in the race to build a new industry.
