The 10th edition of Forum´s New Economy Short Cut series hosted Financial Times’s European Economics Commentator and writer Martin Sandbu who presented his new book “Economics of Belonging: A Radical Plan to Win Back the Left Behind and Achieve Prosperity for All”, released last June 2020.
In Economics of Belonging Sandbu lays bare the most cogent problems faced by advanced economies and societies where increasingly polarized political debates are reflected in a widespread rejection of the ruling political order and rising populisms. The author proposes thus to take a step back and look into the root causes of our problems, before unfolding a radical plan for tackling inequality and creating a just society where no one is left behind.
